Choose a question for the session
Build a small group around technique, theme or archive. Check running times and authorised access before watching. Two shorts already allow comparison; you do not need many titles to turn viewing into discovery.
Notice concentration
Ask how the work establishes a situation and what it leaves implicit. Some shorts develop a story; others explore a sensation or visual idea. Judging only the number of events can conceal the intention they chose to pursue.
Leave a gap between works
After each film, note an image and a question before starting the next. Afterwards, compare how each used its time. The interval helps preserve their differences and prevents the screening from becoming a rapid sequence of forgotten content.
